Walkin' in Memphis...

Hey Everyone,
We just left Memphis yesterday. We had a great time! And we were finally in a nice venue with great audiences. The first few venues were kinda small and the sound was really terrible. So this was wonderful for us. We stayed in Memphis, TN but we actually played in Southhaven,MS. More than 10,000 people that evacuated because of Katrina were also in Memphis. There are many people here in Atlanta as well. We are supposed to play New Orleans in a couple months but I dont really see that happening. I will have more to follow on that. When we arrived in Memphis we caught the tail end of the hurricane with a huge storm and power outtages. Tuesday morning the sky was clear as can be. Strange how something can cause so much damage and just dissapear. We were asked why we didnt cancel, our thoughts are with the victims of Katrina but we also know there would have been many dissapointed children that wouldnt get to see elmo if we cancelled. We ended up giving out free tickets to hurricane victims. Hopefully we were able to put some sort of smile on there face as brief as it may have been.
