Julie VS. Julie

Okay so I know that one is actually "down town" Julie Brown and one is just Julie Brown. But really, these bitches got the same name and I think it's just strange. Now, I know That these sort of things should be the last of my concern but I have wondered about these two for a long time....do you think they are friends? And if So do you think just Julie calls the other one "down town". You would have thought one of their agents would have caught wind of the other one back in the 80's and put forth valid concern for a name change. I have a favorite....it's just Julie, I can't help it. She cracks me up. She did a mockumentary of Madonna's Truth or dare called "Medusa: Dare to be truthful"...loved it. And she did some nice Lorraina Bobbit, and Tonya Harding spoofish stuff.

Do you have a fav or do you dislike them both equally? OR..have you just simply not thought of them in 10 years?

Just in...

This just in....

I FOUND MY CAMERA!

I left it sitting out in the body shop at work over night...anyone could have taken it! I'm lucky...a lucky, lucky idiot... I wish I were smarter.

Losing my mind...

I lose things. I lose things often. Usually it's something small, occasionally something off value or importance. I hate losing things...It kinda drives me crazy. It's actually the only true test of me being able to control my anger. I used to lose things and fly off the handle. The other day though, I lost a shoe and remained calm the entire time. Inside my head was kind of screaming "WHERE THE F**K IS MY SHOE!?!?!" But I knew that to actually express that was simply of no use and would do no good to anyone. And I found my shoe. I used to rely on a guy named Paul to find things for me. I would lose things and seriously...he always knew where they were. I loved it, he is so good at it. I really wish I would have had him with me yesterday. See, I decided to finally break down and buy a digital camera. Nothing to fancy but a decent sized purchase right? I took it to work with me cuz I had a friend coming to the show and I wanted to get some pictures with him. Um....I lost the camera. Seriously, bought it yesterday afternoon and lost it last night. I'm a moron.

Lose anything of value lately?

I'm going to hell...

"Quit it with the friggin' marco polo or I'm gonna come over there and rip your fat little heads off!!"

I love it! Thats what the drunk modeling agent lady says in "drop dead gorgeous" to the kids swimming in the pool. Hmmm...fat little heads...fat little heads of children. I'm sorry but there be some chubby chitluns out there and I am placing some blame on the mother. You know I saw a bit of Dr. Phil last week where this mother was embarrassed that her son was so fat she would bribe him to stay at home so she didnt have to be seen with him....she bribed him with FOOD!! Well, I took a trip to the mall last week in my hometown and there were some fat kids just walkin' around. I know I'm being a jerk but it's fun to look at them and make up your own dialogue for them. Kind of like you do with pets..."Oh well Oscar say's-what kinda dog do you think I am?" You see what I mean? you do it with kids "Oh well...I wonder if mamma is gonna eat the rest of that taco"...I'm horrible. Somebody help these kids so I cant make fun of them anymore.

Sorry if I offended anyone.

What do you make fun of that you know you shouldn't?

gotta stop...

I have decided that at the ripe age of 25 I will never touch another cigarette as long as I live. These suckers were my demon. All to many times I have muttered the words "Can I get a hard pack of Marlboro lights please?". It used to be camel lights back in the day but then I went over to the marlboro side. How does one do that? How does one decided which smoke is superior or preferable to another? I just dont get it. Well...either way-I'M DONE. The trick is with these things in life is that it all comes down to one little answer and that answer is "Yes" or "no"...I choose NO...just NO. This will work.

Anyone else out there trying to change something that has just become habit?

Today is the day of my birth...

Hey everyone! I'm like um...25, yeah...so. Is this all there is??? Haha. Just kidding. Spending a few days at my mom's while I have time off. I will be having a delightful dinner this evening with my mother and sister and a bunch of friends from the homeland which is kinda cool. It's strange, when you are having one birthday you never really can imagine where you will be for the next one. Last year I celebrated in Austin, TX with people I had JUST become friends with a month earlier. This year I get to be with family and people who I have been friends with for many many years. We are having dinner at my favorite restaurant here in Bay City-Tommy V's...love it! I'm so lucky that I was playing in Michigan these last few weeks.

WOAH! Ding dong! The door bell just rang and it was a flower delivery guy with a vase of roses, a box of chocolates and a stuffed bear from my super party soul sister Erika that I tour with. Nobody except my mother as far as I can remember has ever sent me flowers-it was such a surprise and just freaking awesome! This is her getting "jiggy" at the opening night party to your left. I love this girl. Sometimes it can be hard to get to know someone on tour and actually trust them. This girl I trust with all my heart. She is a true friend with a heart of gold and she can be crazy as hell too-thats why I love her! Not to mention how F**king talented she is!! THANK YOU ERIKA!!! you THE BEST!

Bad moods...

It's funny how when you comment or get a comment as far as blogs are concerned your mood is reflected in that comment. Anyone ever notice that?

Bad moods are infectious. This morning my sister was in a horrible nasty mood and my nephew Tyler was about to be a little out of control. Him and I were waiting in the car for her and I pretty much bribed him to "be a good boy". I'm the uncle-I'm allowed to bribe. Just when I got him to be a sweetheart she gets in the car and is like "Tyler were you standing there staring at the door of the house that was open? You know how much we pay for heat every month?" I graciously accepted the blame for the door as to keep my bribe in tact. Almost immediately her mood went from Sunnie the grouch to Sunnie the peach and mine plumeted into the depths of bad moods (and I was having a pretty peppy morning if I do say so). In an effort to redeem myself (for personal reasons) from my mood yesterday I took a deep breath and I'm okay now...let's hope this last.

Yesterday at work we were having a meeting and I actually said "Can we hurry this up so I can go because I hate you bitches"....I think only 1 person heard me and she actually laughed, never the less, it was said. I also got into with my assistant wardrobe guy who I dont get along with as it is. Bad moods.

On an up side I did get to talk to someone on the phone yesterday right before my second show that I dont always get to talk to on a regular basis and that made everything okay. Damn him for having that voice that makes me happy...no matter what he says.

Anyone got a bad mood story for me? spill.

Also...HELLO??? How can nobody make a comment on that beautiful man Nate Berkus, come on!

Lady Liberty's Bush

I found this picture and I think it's kinda brilliant. Bush takes a crap on america over and over again so this kinda sums up how I see him.

What do ya'll think of this picture?

Nate Berkus

Nate Berkus
Describe the perfect man you ask? Nate freaking Berkus. I love this guy! He has like the perfect touch of gay in all the right places but he is still like a guy's guy. A smile that knocks you over, fashion sense to boot, arms that wont quit (But they are not over the top), great great hair, and he can re-design your home in like 2.2 seconds while using Oprah's money! I love him. I will have him. He will be mine. Or if I can't have him I at least wanna be like him.

"I did not have a "thing"...I did NOT have a "thing"...I was very much in love with him, very much in love. And there's a difference, there's a difference....there's a difference"-Heather Mooney (Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion)

Drop Dead Gorgeous

This movie has made me laugh over and over again and again. I seriously can't get enough of it. My friend Emily Turay and I quote it all day at work. And we quote the same stuff over and over but it's always hilarious to us. I don't know if its the minnesota accent or the insane ambition of teenagers and they're mothers trying to win "Mount Rose Teen American Princess Pageant" I mean, who thought of this? Lona...Lona Williams, that's who thought of this. She is in the movie as trhe only female jusdge of the pageant and is all shy and quit in the movie. It's just funny to look at this woman and know she is the one who wrote it. She is the only female in the above picture with all the judges. I adore her! Thank you Lona!!!

The 40 year old Virgin...

Okay, so I have commented on this movie before but I just have to say that when he is getting his chest waxed and all of a sudden he screams "ajgheiwehkljhslakjshklashlakhjlKELLY CALRKSON!!!!!!"
Oh....that cracks me up-seriously.
It's been in my head for the last couple days and all of a sudden I just shout KELLY CLARKSON! I'm so strange and odd...I know.

It's no secret...

It's no secret that I love this woman that we call Madonna. Between my friend Erika and myself we own every tour that Madge has done. Starting with 1985's "Virgin tour", 1987's "Who's that girl tour", 1990's "Blonde Ambition tour", 1993's "Girlie show tour", "drowned world tour" 2001, and the "re-invention tour" 2004. The only one we dont have a complete copy of is the "Re-invention" tour from summer 2004. In her documentry "I'm going to tell you a secret" they show you clips of "American Life", "Nobody knows me", "music" , "Like a prayer", Lament from EVITA, and "Holiday". But it's still not the whole thing!!! I have a boot leg audio copy of "Re-invention". But I really wanna see it! It's supposed to come out on DVD. Let's hope it makes it. Madonna has made itv official that she will be going out on tour this summer. I have heard she starts rehearsal this month. I urge you if you have not seen her live yet to do so. I saw "drowned world" and the woman is just amazing.

Have you seen her in Concert? Which one?

angebradiffer

I don't really follow stuff on Hollywood romances. I'm not trying to get all national enquiresque on my blog here but I can't help it. I was sitting with my most favorite person in the entire world today and he was looking at a magazine. We were just having coffee and looking at the pic's and talking and of course Brad and Angelina popped up right? So I'm like "What the heck man? Jen was way hot and seemed totally cool...I really wish I knew what happened between those two". Now, that is the most I had ever thought about it-honestly. But when I look at how Angelina is pregnant and they are like adopting kids left and right I can't help but think Jen either can't have or didnt want to have little hollywood babies for mr. hot stuff Brad Pitt. I've never really wanted to know what happened with any Hollywood couple...but i wanna know what happened here.

Am I alone on this? Probably so but if I'm not speak up!

My Gal Pal Amanda...

This is my friend Amanda. Some of you may know her from her blog "naivehelga". I had the pleasure of visiting with my gal Manders yesterday. I wish I had a more recent picture and one with me in it but this is what I got-her and her friend Erika at a tea party...Amanda is the one in the hat-aint she precious? I laughed more yesterday than I have in as long as I can remember. We didnt even do much really...chatted, had dinner, went to target and watched a little "wife swap" and olympics. But we didn't need to anything, thats one of the things I love about her. Amanda and I were forced into friendship when we were both doing "Oliver!" in Midland, MI. Herself being a senior at Heritage High and myself being a freshmen. Our mothers arranged for me to ride with Amanda. We hated the idea...and we have been friends since. I adore this girl with all of my being. She makes me wanna pee my pants with laughter and I know she always got my back. Nobody can dance around with a rubber duckie, pick up the phone or sing "mary had a little lamb" quite like her. On a serious note, she is smart as a whip too, and never makes me feel stupid when I ask a really ridiculous question (as you all know I do that often). Not to mention she has some luscious mellon lady lumps. I treasure her friendship and the small visits I get with her. Oh in a perfect world....in a perfect world I would have all my friends in one place and never let them leave! I love you Amanda!!!!!

We must get a 2 day visit in some time in the next year.

Now, Amanda has a grading system on her blog and I have NEVER used one...but since it is about her...I shall grade.

Amanda Strong: A+......yes Amanda, a plus.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Sold out in Detroit

Last night we were just seats away from being sold out. Now, we sell "well", we really do but with the amount of shows we do in any given place it is very hard to get even close to sold out. It was an amazing feeling last night to look up and see almost the entire balcony full. The energy from the audience was amazing. Today starts the first show of 6 in 2 days. Wish us luck!

people and "brokeback"

Okay, I know I said I wasn't gonna post anymore for 3 weeks but I am sitting in the hotel lobby here in detroit waiting for my ride to work and the hotel people, these stupid girls at the friont desk-to be exact were like :

Stupid Girl 1: I saw Brokeback last night.

Stupid Girl 2: Oh yeah?

Stupid Girl 1: yeah, I dont know...it moved really slow and Heath ledger mumbled...

Stupid Girl 2: Did you understand it? (I swear she said IT not HIM)

Stupid Girl 1: Yeah, but I didnt get like....as sad as I thought I would (Heartless bitch) and when they had their like love scene this old couple got up and walked out...I was like, it's been all over the news, how could you not know what it's about?

Stupid Girl 2: Totally.

Dear Lord! Although I was not offended directly with anything she said. I was put off by her lack of intellengence to discuss this film. Whatever to these stupid girls I say-whatever!

Had any run in with a stupid girl lately? Tell me...pretty please?

anything in ( ) during the above dialogue reflects my thoughts on the stupid girls and my thoughts only.

The Fox Theatre- Detroit, MI

The time is nearing. I have some awesome perks that come with this job. One of them is the different venues I get to play. We are technically an "arena" tour. Playing arena's has been a great experience for me-the dynamics of many things change when playing arena's and theatre's. Starting last week we are hitting theatre's for the next two months. The last couple we played have been beautiful! The show goes through some minimul changes when we play a theatre. In an arena we have a ramp and a maxi stage that goes out into the center of the arena off of the mainstage. All of that gets cut when we play theatre's. Starting February 9th I will be performing at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, MI for 3 weeks. I am very VERY excited about this. I grew up watching shows at this theatre. I sat in those seats and said "This is what I wanna do when I grow up" and now...I get to perform on that stage. I can't wait! I hope I get to see some of you!!

Isn't this theatre amazing!?!?!
