That Girl....

Have you ever been THAT girl at a party? You know, the drunk mess that nobody knows. It can go one of two ways....1) the drunk girl nobody knows and hopes they never see again or 2) the drunk girl that everyone wants to get drunk with again.

My friend Jordan came to see me last night in Merrillville, IN and we had a party for a girl in the company that is leaving. Jordan got WASTED.....it was precious. She was THAT girl, even better is that she was that girl #2 and the next day all my friends were like...."that girl was so much fun". I wont get into details cuz she ask me not to and....I'm a good friend, right? But the one thing i will share is this picture. So....It's like May 1st. Pools are NOT open right now. Some wise person in my company dared Jordan to run across a covered pool-the hotel pool that is. While this is dangerous and could get me fired.....Jordan accepted the dare head on. Atta girl.... she made it halfway across and then fell in the huge puddle in the middle. once again....atta girl...

have you ever been THAT girl??

Starbucks

starbucks....I love starbucks. I know its bad, I'm like giving into the machine of coffee places. Last year I visited the very first starbucks EVER in Seattle and at the time I was like "eh...okay....is it lunch time yet?". But if it were now that I visited that first starbucks ever it would make my day so great and I would want a picture of me there. I have talked before of how being on t he road it is always nice, even though I dont neccessarily agree with the ,corporate world, but its always nice to have familiar "things and places" around me....starbucks is no exception. Almost anywhere (except Canada) I can go in and get a venti regular coffee for under $2. it has been my breakfast on many occassions and keeps me fueld easily until noon. Also an iced regular coffee is very nice and a Venti is never above $3. I'm an easy drink kinda guy ordering an occassional mocha when I feel saucy or a pumpkin latte around halloween but for the most part I stick with just plain old COFFEE....sometimes black, sometimes sweet and creamy...either way, starbucks has yet to let me down.

The one downer....when you say "I would like a large..." instead of a "venti" and the snooty cashier says "you mean a VENTI???"........"um.....sure....YES....Yes a VENTI......bitch"

Why this post? There is a Starbucks INSIDE our hotel this week. this happens from time to time and I have spent most of the week there. Coffee is good....

Whats one of your favorite corporate america places?? (you know you have one)

(PBS buy out-close to general public)

Thursday May 4th 10:30a.m.- Professor Art, 7:00p.m. Oscar The Grouch

If you see Art and Elmo on television in Chicago it's NOT me...I was handed both publicity assignments and finagled my way out of them as the other guy that plays Art owed me a couple favors and I wanna spend as much time at my apartment and with my friends as I possibly can! Hope to see some of you at the show or out and about! Call or e-mail me if you have any questions.

Toronto

hey everyone!
I was in Toronto last week and I had a really great time! let me tell you aboot it. Monday we got there and went to the death cab for cutie/franz ferdinand concert. I dont remember much of the concert cuz I was hopping from suite to suite meeting canadians. but the suite was free and Natalie Portman was in the suite next to ours so that was cool. I think the concert was good...
Then Tuesday I just kinda bummed around Toronto doing not much of anything. I had dinner at this place called "philthy Mcnasty's". We only ate their because of the name.
Then I picked up tickets to go see an equity production of "HAIR" on wednesday. I have always loved this show and had never seen it on stage. LOVED IT! loved it so much that Erika and I went back on saturday night to see it again. And it was once again brilliance. Then we went to a bar by our hotel after the show and who should walk in but like 5 cast members from HAIR....we chatted it up with them and went over to Katrina Reynolds house for one last drink...she was an understudy in the show and we saw her when she went in on Wednesday night when we first saw the show and she was fierce. she is the girl in the picture with the hat on. dance captain in the middle with the hand over his face and the hand belongs to the girl that played Angela.
Wednesday morning I had to be interviewed on this show called "daytime in toronto" and as we are standing there waiting to go on I was drooling over the actor that was being interviewed when i realized who he was. John Breger from Degrassi:the next generation. It is a show that is filmed in canadian and just now has started being played in the U.S. on the NOG channel. I used to watch it all the time!! And this actor was the "gay" guy in the show....Elmo and I got a picture with him. I did that whole thing that I do when I meet someone famous and cant talk. Half because I used to have a huge crush on him and the other half because I was taking the picture literally seconds before my interview and I tend to zone in that moment anyway. Isnt he adorable??? John that is...not Elmo.
All and all the week was really great and the audiences were awesome. The theatre we played in was huge and they were close to sold out a couple shows. Only problem was that the other guy that plays Art, Glen, got really sick and still is sick and i did the majority of the shows. I'm a little burnt out but I just hope he gets better soon. I feel grateful i got to perform for the canadians....good peeps.

How was everyones week last week?

Hope to see you all soon!

odd celebrity sightings...

Justin Jeffre....his name is Justin Jeffre. Who knew?

So last night me and a few peeps took part in a seder. After the seder a few of us went to this bar called "madonna's"...NOT a gay bar...you would think though. We had a really good time and then my friend Chereese was like "We only have one show tomorrow and these guys I been talkin to be cute, lets go to an after hours bar with them". Emily and I were game so the three of us set off to this other place...I dont remember the name but it was a bar that served beer and pizza at 3 in the morning. HEAVEN!

so we order a pizza and we are waiting for it and we decided that we didnt really want to be there and sleep sounded lovely. As we are waiting for the pizza behind us is Justin Jeffre from 98 degrees. Obviously....he's not Nick Lachey and I dont expect any of you to know any of their names so I'll describe Justin like this....the one that is the least cute out of the four and the one who has no muscles, the one in the picture to the left hidden behind everyone wearing all black. I always felt bad for this guy, I felt like Nick was gonna get all beyonce and Justin was gonna get kicked out and then that other one.....the one thats not nick or chris(dancing with the stars)....chris right? I felt like the not chris or not nick guy would be eventually replaced by a buff Aaron Carter. See? All Destiny's Childs and stuff....It's not to late. They could still do it. what was the point of this post....OH YEAH! So yeah, justin Jeffre, the strangest one out of the bunch was standing there munching pizza and I said really loud (I was drunk) "it's the ugly one from 98 degrees"....STUPID. I dont think he heard me but we left very soon after my loud mouth word vomited all over the place.

the picture to the right is him and my friends pretended to be posing for a picture so we could get one of him...just cuz I guess. proof? i dunno. Ladies and gentlemen...justin Jeffre.

good pizza.

what was your strangest celebrity run in?

Easter brunch

Every year my company pays for their employees to enjoy an Easter Brunch. My company manager thought that this year instead of having it on Easter (when we have shows) it would be better to have it on our day off. So wednesday night the majority of us gathered at Benihana's. It was delicious. I had the Hibachi steak and it was oh so good. I sat with my gal pals Erika and Joice. Joice had never been and she kept the entire table entertained. The chef's name was Aaron and he was cute and fun. Erika and I shared some saketini's...martini's made with sake. Those were also delicious! I'm going to include more than enough photos cuz we had a really good time...

he made the fried rice into a heart for Joice...it goes from sweet to creepy in like 2.2 seconds.

A day away from the street...

I am playing in Cincinnati,OH this week and I rented a car to head up to Michigan to visit some peeps on Tuesday. On my way there I stopped by Ann Arbor to see the beautiful Kelly Vieau. This girl and I have been friends for as long as I can remember and I hadnt seen her in such a long time! We went to a cute restaraunt and chowed down on some amazing spinach artichoke dip and then she had a chef salad and I had a greek salad.....and we both had their drink special, raspberry long island ice tea. It's a good thing I wasn't staying with her Monday night because her and I would have drank several of those bad boys!

I didn't really have the time to stop off in Ann Arbor but I am super duper glad that I did. I hadnt seen kelly in over two years. I stopped in Ann Arbor when i was in Michigan in February and I have been kicking myself in the butt ever since for NOT paying a visit to Kelly (Boobs) Vieau.

We had some great laughs as we caught eachother up on life and I can't wait to see her again!

Then I made it to Saginaw and visited with Paul, his family, my mother and some great friends. I actually saw more people than i thought I would get to see. It is always so nice to get away from tour even if it's only for a couple days. As much as I love Michigan....I can't wait to get back to Chicago!!! But I loves me Sagnasty peeps!

What are some nickname's you have for some of your close friends?

Sunday, April 09, 2006

This is Alex Turdbleck. He is a friend of Pasqualy's.

Isn't he sexy?

Easter's a comin'....

Easter is not a Holiday that has ever really excited me. BUT....I have dressed up as the easter bunny at least 3 times in my span of life.
So my friend Chereese and I were walking around in the mall here in Waterbury,CT the other day and we decided to take a picture with the bunny. Unlike this one I was always in a costume where my face was seen....I thought it might be nice to be the bunnies guest and NOT the bunny for a change.

Anyone else ever play the easter bunny?

A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius

I actually finished a book among all my movie going this week. A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius was a really good read start to finish. It was very solid...I find in so many books I read I get to a lul in the middle where I have to push through for a little. Not with this. It's funny...everyone I talked to about this book has been like "OH my god! I love that book!! Isn't it brilliant? I just thought it was brilliant". I think it was good...kind of smart and funny but not really brilliant. I think if I knew this guy I would wanna punch him in the face a little, but I did indeed enjoy the book. And he is kinda cute...I used to have a thing for guys with curly hair.

A review on amazon.com started by saying"Boring, pretentious drivel"....hehehee....that made me chuckle. The book is kind of Dave Eggers ramblings about dealing with his mother and fathers death and raising his little brother Toph, along with his sister Beth after his parents have passed. Also dealing with everything you deal with when a parent passes. Both of my parents are alive so I can't even imagine what it's like. And I defintaly can't imagine what it is like to raise a younger sibling....so it was nice to see some insight into that. But like anything, I know there are more views on that than just his.

I'm glad I read it. Not a waste of time. I think anyone should read it if they get a chance.

My favorite quote from the book..."It's disgusting, these little porkers...the existance of fat kids"

hahaha, isn't the word "porkers" funny?

Lucky Number Sleven

I went with my friend Erika to see Lucky Number Sleven tonight after our last show of the day. I LOVED THIS MOVIE! I normally wouldnt have chosen to see this if my movie going experiences werent free this week. But they are and it interested me.

I dont have a thing for Josh Hartnett. Never have really, I never thought he was hot or felt the need to watch one of his movies. I thought he was excellent in this. It made me actually wanna see more movies that he has done. And Lucy Liu....I loved her to begin with but her character in this is adorable from the minute she steps into her first scene. Where has she been anyway?

I will say that I now think Josh is hot...he is in a towel for like the first 30 minutes of the movie and getting the shit kicked out of him and taking it like a fucking trooper....thats hot.

Oh yeah...and Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman and blah blah blah.

What was Lucy Liu in last?

SUMMARY:
LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN is a comic thriller that twists and turns its way through an underworld of crime and revenge where nothing is as it seems. Set in New York City, a case of mistaken identity lands Slevin (Josh Hartnett) into the middle of a war being plotted by two of the city's most rival crime bosses; The Rabbi (Ben Kingsley) and The Boss (Morgan Freeman). Slevin is under constant surveillance by relentless Detective Brikowski (Stanley Tucci) as well as the infamous assassin Goodkat (Bruce Willis) and finds himself having to hatch his own ingenious plot to escape the maze alive.

Phat Girlz

I saw Phat Girlz this afternoon between my shows. Mo'nique, as usual, was hilarious! But it was kinda like....and?? I mean, dont get me wrong-everyone should feel great about themselves and I honestly think she looks damn good. But it's not so much a vanity issue to me as it is a health one. I myself am probably 30+ lbs over weight. I feel like that is unhealthy and I would like to change it. Sometimes I really like my belly...gives me that football player kinda look....yeah I said it. But I need to lose some weight for my health. I think this movie sends a great message about feeling good about yourself and loving yourself but not really a good message about being health concious. Or I'm just thinking to much about it. It was funny but you can wait for video.

my favorite line "Those god damn mix green bags of salad PISS ME OFF!!"

Who is your favorite phat girl?

The Inside Man

Wednesday night I went and saw "Inside Man". I didn't really want to but there was nothing else at the theatre I wanted to see or hadn't seen already and a group of friends told me they loved Inside Man and I shouldnt miss it.

It was okay. I didn't think it was anything spectacular. Is Denzel always after a bad guy in his movies? And do his teeth always look that fake? Jodie Foster was sexylicious to me....I dont know why. She never really has been attractive in my eye. Nice looking and all but in this movie her character was yummy...she was kind of smirking the entire time. Loved that. Now...Clive Owen, he is yummy and he was the bad guy so that was really sexy....what is on my mind?

Okay....summary-It's about a bank robbery. In my oppinion you can wait to rent it. In my friends oppinion it's a must see. you make the call.

Has anyone out there ever thought Jodie Foster was Foxy?

Theatre...

I have the day off of work today and I am just doing nothing in the business center of the hotel when I came across an article with an interview from Joe Bertucci in it . It was the last interview he did with the saginaw news or actually I think it was in the Review which is why it was ever printed. At the top was a picture of the cast and some crew from his last show "Working". I took this quote from the article, yet again, one of the reasons I love this man so much. And look at how young some of us are in that picture! you know who you are!

"I believe in Community Theater. I believe that all theater is worth saving. Each day, another theater closes its doors in this country due to lack of support. I believe that Community Theater is a place where groups of people from all walks of life come together and share, exchange ideas, and grow themselves and their communities."

"I don't believe that Community Theater is a club for a small group so a few people can indulge their friends and develop showcases. During my time at P&B I've cast 80 people in a variety of roles, many of them were onstage for the first time, but with patience, love and caring, we put on productions that gave us pride & satisfaction."

"It's about the process, and that's what all art is about - the process. You'll always have critics, people ready and willing to judge the final work, but unless you were involved in that process, you know nothing. That's Community Theater and that's what I want to ask this community to help save."
-Joseph Bertucci

Free Movies

As I said before, we did a ticket trade with the local movie theatre so we get to see free movies all week. I saw three today. The only problem is that their movie selection kind of sucks.... Friday they have some decent ones coming out but by then I am working and who knows if I will get to go then. In general I dont think there are many good movies out right now but if there are and I'm not thinking of them this theatre is definatly NOT playing them.

These are the 3 I saw. Not much to say about them. I watched 2 horror films and a cartoon....I saw tons of people die and George is the cutest monkey I have ever seen. But really, you can wait to rent any of these movies. I wish the popcorn would have been free.

What did you see at the movie theatre last?

other languages

okay okay...now I dont have a problem with other languages. It's just when I am trying to concentrate or talk on the phone or I'm just on the train or something and there are two ladies just going off in spanish or whatever it drives me crazy!!! It gives me a monster headache. In fact right now two ladies are behind me just going off in some other language....i dont even know what it is. AH! my head hurts. And they talk way louder than people speaking english and faster and with more punctuation on everything they say...I think they are just rubbing it in my face that I dont know what they are saying....seriously. Grrrr.

I also can't stand loud annoying boastful straight guys babbling about this or that-they sound like freaking morons...yes, a group of stupid men also stand behind me right now. I was looking for a picture along those lines to post with the foreign language pic but google just gave me tons of porn when I put in "annoying straight boys"...I got a bunch of "his first gay experience" pics. While hot....they wouldnt serve my purpose....at least not on this post.
What gets on your nerves?

Today was the day! All year long my friend Erika and I have said that we are going to the next Madonna show together. Eating habits

Eating right on tour is riducously hard, ecspecially on a budget. The last two weeks I stayed at hotels with kitchens and I made my food every day. I had chicken, salads, turkey sandwiches, scrambeled eggs...you name it! Somewhat healthy things I could prepare. When we dont have kitchens and I dont eat out I am stuck with ramen, easy mac, canned foods (soup & good ole chef boy Ardee) peanut butter and jelly and like crackers and chips for snacks. While this stuf is "fun" and what not. I hate eating that way! Hate it! And if I choose to go out to get a nice salad or something I end up spending at least $10.

What is a boy to do? I really hate all this sodium and stuff and even worse I make it all in a hot pot so when I make it, it all burns to the pot. boo hoo....what the hell?? I cant wait to have an apartment again so I can just get home and make myself a nice spinach fresh green salad with some dried cranberries and mushrooms and some low fat raspberry walnut paul newman dressing with a titch of feta cheese to top it off. YUM!

I make a mean spinach, onion, mushroom and feta cheese omelette...SO GOOD! not this week though....

I think I need to order a pizza.

Whats your guilty pleasure food of choice?

David Sedaris

So the other day I get in the car to go to work and my boss was like "David Sedaris is going to be at the theatre a few blocks from the one we are playing at Sunday night...who wants to go?". 1) I'm broke 2) Sunday night is Grey's Anatomy 3) I missed out on a chance to see Mr. Sedaris in Chicago because I was layed up on my couch with a busted ankle and 4) I couldn't miss this. So my boss, Rebecca, fronted me the money for the ticket. But at the same time I was like....he's an author....is he just gonna like read to me? And what is he gonna read? I've read every single one of his books!

When I read his books I always imagine him actually talking to me so this was going to be strange for me on many levels. We walked in the lobby and there he was like 2 feet away from me signing books already. I was really excited! Problem is I own all of his books and I dont have a single one with me on the road right now to get autographed. But finally I just decided I would ask him to sign my ticket.....the line was cut off by security.

He comes on stage and the lights dim and I must remind you this was the end of a long work week for me. I was so excited but the theatre got dark and he started reading stories (new ones too!) so I'm still excited. But then my drowsiness took over. Before I knew it my head kept bobbing down and I would jolt awake or I would start to drift in and out between burst of laughter. I was pissed that I was getting to see my favorite author rvery funny material and I was dozing off!!! Then he strayed away from reading stories off of a page and the house lights came on so he could talk to the audience. That woke me up a titch but seriously....I love him and I think he is hilarious!!! Next time I'm downing 2 NoDoz tablets with a cup of coffee! GR!

So, he was well worth the money for the ticket and I hope I get to see him again someday and I'm gonna get there early with all of my books in hand so I can get his signature. Read one of his books if you get the chance!

Have you ever had trouble staying awake at an event even though you REALLY wanted to be there and you were just exhausted???
maybe he should have thrown in a musical number with some drums to wake my ass up!
