How I really feel about RENT the movie.

So it's been a week since I sat down in the movie theatre with my popcorn, sour patch kids, and diet soda to watch RENT. I know that seems like a lot of food but when it's a movie I have been waiting for I tend to turn it into an event. Even though I had been waiting for it I lowered my expectations from the begining. For this reason I left the Theatre last week pretty much satisfied with my movie going experience. Now a week has past and I have had some time to think about what happened in front of my eyes that night.

I am first off offended at the removal of the lyrical dialoge in the "tune up's", "voice mail's" 1-2-3-4-AND 5, "you okay honey","on the street", "we're okay", "christmas bellls", "goodbye love", "halloween" and last but by NO MEANS least (one of my fav's) "Happy New Year". Grrrrrrr.....does everyone see how much music I just listed above? The thing with those pieces is that the way they were written lent so much honesty to the story and without that lyrical dialoge I think a lot of variety and validity to the chracters was spared. I dont know if this was some strange attempt by "Home Alone" director Chris Columbus to have "more talking" or if he actually didnt like the music. If he didnt like the music that is arguable, but I venture to say it is because he felt there should be more "spoken word". If that was the case he should have re written the script all together. Those words belong to music and without that music some of those words mean absolutly nothing. If he was going for some sort of a reality effect by having them speak he should have taken into consideration that most of us dont really rhyme when we speak. Well, I do occassionaly, but only when I'm really drunk and getting paid!

The good feeling I had from leaving the theatre came from seeing almost all of the original cast back together again and hearing SOME of the music that made me feel back in the day in High School that even though things suck in life it's really all relevant-No Day but Today, right?. I have a boot leg video tape from the opening night of RENT on broadway. Not great quality but I feel fortunate to possess such an object.

I was pleased with the way the "Life support" segments were done. Jesse L. Martin made me fall in love with him. "Santa Fe" I never really enjoyed before the movie but I thought it was executed to perfection and gave you that "feel good" vibe you were supposed to get. Of course we were all on the edge of our seats for "La Vie Boheme" and I also thought that was done well with nice use of the space and it really looked like what you had pictured the "life cafe" to be. I thought Rosario Dawson and Traci Thoms were cast stand out's. Rosario was awesome as Mimi combining just the right amount of edge to her vulnerability. Ms Thoms raised the bar as Joanne and it was kinda like Idina said "oh okay then, I accept your challenge". Anthony Rapp was wrapped up in his usual "rappism's" which is what makes him so adorable, he passes on cuteness. Um...Adam Pascal just looks tired. He makes you realize why Daphne Ruben Vega isnt back as Mimi. Brilliant from the original production is Wilson Jermaine Heredia. I hear he is actually straight in real life, if you can believe that. Either way, he is at ease with the character and the way he plays it makes me fall in love with Angel.

I thought the cinematography was over all just FLAT. There wasn't much dimension to what emotionaly is a very dimensional piece. If you are gonna put it on the screen and put these amazing words with a "set" make it a damn good one or not one at all. I just didnt understand some choices from the director. I would really love to know what the original cast members really think.

I was pleased to see some original costume pieces make there way back into the show. Mimi's blue pants usually worn in "Out tonight" now re-placed into the New Years Eve scene. Maureen's cat suite. Where were Rodgers signature plaid pants? And what is this 1989 bullshit? The show was written to take place in the "present" which at the time of the broadway debut was like 95-96. 1989? Seriously? I could go on but I doubt you the reader even continued this far due to my lack of any sort of skills in grammer and just plain old fashioned bad typing. i just had to get this off my chest. And this wasn't even all of it. heavy chest...

So how do you all feel a week later?

HAIR!

I haven't had my hair cut since I started tour. First reason being that I have a personal stylist and my budget just doesnt allow me to have her travel with me. I'll give her some props-Miss Tara Bomba if you must know. Those of you that are lucky enough to be in Chicago contact me and I'll give you her info-she gives a hell of a cut, and she's a wonderful lady as well. The second reason being that I am growing out my hair. Today I had enough and was finally gonna just chop it all off and go back to the same old hair I have had for the last 10 years of my life-which looks good, but is just old hat. Hahaha....hat.

So I went to the local mall here in Virginia and put my name in at Haircut Plus because that place is $4 cheaper than Regis and I'm just cheap. The lady said "sit down, ill be back in a few, there are some books with styles there-take a look". Well, I knew exactly what I wanted:

"clippers on the side starting with a three blending up and just short enough but long enough so that I still have some hair to style on the top-and make it choppy". same old thing.

Reluctantly and with lack of anything better to do I picked up a book of hairstyles. Then I saw it, this guy with EXACTLY the long hair style I have been trying to achieve. I showed it to her and explained my story. She said my hair is almost there and I shouldnt go short again and just give it a few more months. Then gave me some styling tips for the long hair which I desperatly need since Tara is in Chicago and I am wherever I happen to be. So....my hair is trimmed and is looking closer to what I want. I hope I dont forget everything that lady told me to do. I need Tara Bomba!!!!!

Am I the only one with such hair dilema?

Walk the Line

I went and saw "Walk the line" with my good friend Jordan when she was visiting me from Chicago while I was in Columbus, OH last week. I knew Joaquin Phoenix was gonna be awesome but I had my doubts about Reese Witherspoon. Let me say that I love everything Reese has been in (who doesn't love Election or Legally Blonde or...-I mean, seriously). But she was gonna be singing and this isn't some crazy comedy. This was some deep shit, well, biographical shit anyway. And I had read interviews with her saying she would call up her agent saying she couldnt do it and she was freaked out. Reese Witherspoon was nothing short of AMAZING as June Carter-Cash. The chemistry between her and Joaquin was brilliant. And the vocals-damn. See, I'm always weirded out when it's a biographical film of a music artist and they have the actors do the vocals. But then it adds some realness to it as well. I dont care what Reese says but girl can sing! And so can Joaquin. They were both so believable that at times I felt i really was watching Johnny and June act out their own story.Even if you are not a fan of these two legends go see it if you get a chance!

Heathers...

HEATHERS. I have always loved this movie. Last night I was sitting in my Hotel room and due to the rain I was very much confined to it for the evening. Showtime was my savior last night. First with "My Best Friends Wedding" and next with "Mean Girls"...who could ask for more on a rainy night? Well, a horror movie or some movie where a friend gets deathly ill and dies or something would have been nice but I let these female comedies be my guide. Just when i was getting snuggly for bed "Heathers" came on, right after "Mean Girls"! Well, I had "Heathers" on video since I was a kid but it was taped off of like USA so all of the naughty things were muted out. This made it like a bran new movie for me last night!
My favorite surprise was when Heather C. said: "Fuck me gently with a chainsaw..."
Who knew?

other favorites that weren't as nasty are....

Heather C.: Heather, did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?

Ram: Pudwapper !
I myself use the term "pud" often, coined by my friend Kelly View back in Saginaw in the "Good ole days" but never once had i heard "Pudwapper" this ones a keeper!

Veronica:Got what I wanted? It is one thing to want somebody out of your life, it is another thing to serve them a wake-up cup full of liquid drainer

Tracy (stoner in Pauline's class):I heard it was really gnarly. She sucked down a bowl of multi- purpose deodorising disinfectant, and then smash!

There are much more exciting quotes but I have to admit this was a few beers and 2 movie later. As much as I wanted to stay up and enjoy the UNmuted version of this classic...I fell asleep :-(

Whats your favorite line from the Heathers?

Secret Santa ON TOUR...

So the cast of "Elmo's Coloring Book" is doing Secret Santa. I am pleased with the name I picked out of the bag. Pretty easy to buy for. Should be happy with beer and porn...seriously. We are doing one small gift every week for the next 3 weeks and then one big gift at the christmas party. Only problem is that on tour no matter what corner you turn when you are shopping, at the hotel or at the venue you are in constant danger of running into the one you are buying gifts for or some squeler who might spoil the fun. Today was my first present delivery-it was so hard!! When buying wrapping paper I had to put it back and wait for this one fella I was with to buy his items and get in the car so he didnt see what wrap I bought. THEN-when it came to delivering I was walking with the package to the front desk to have them call my person and tell them a package had arrived for them-I ran into my chosen one. I quickly bolted the other way and avoided any run in-they didnt see me. FINALLY-I put the package in front of their hotel door and ran back to my room, called the front desk and asked them to call that persons room and let them know a package was at the door...PHEW! All is well now, but I have to do it all again next week! Wish me luck.

SELLEVISION

I just finished this book "SELLEVISION" by Augusten Burroughs. This was the first book I have read from this author. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

"Sellevision" started out slow but was taking time to draw out the characters so it still held my interest enough to keep reading until it picked up. It is the story of a bunch of host on a retail shopping network called sellevision. The book follows about 5 or 6 different plot lines involving the host on the network and the details of their crazy lives. It was hilarious! Well, from like the middle on it was hilarious. You have Max who gets fired for exposing his penis on TV. Peggy Jean who is a god fearin' woman slipping into alcoholism and pill adiction. Leigh is doing "it" with her married boss and as you can imagine that unfolds in it's own sorted way. Bebe is sellevisions star and she is simply looking for love. There are a few more characters that pop in and out, if you are looking for a fun read this should do the trick. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Anyone read anything fun lately?

Big Bird in Quarentine

Awww...our beloved Big Bird is in Quarentine in Trinidad. Not the big bird from my show but I have some friends on the "Out of this world" tour and when going through customs the costume for Big Bird was put in Quarentine. According to my company this costume is the most expensive costume that we make, and our home office "costumes and creatures" makes some crazy shit. During the inspection process a feather was plucked from Big Bird and set fire to see if it was real...his feathers are indeed real. Now Big Bird awaits being set free until they can get official clearence from the quarentine department. Poor guy. On the up side the cast might get some days off if Big Bird doesnt get out of quarentine soon!

Thanksgiving...

My Thanksgiving this year was spent in Columbus, OH with the cast and crew of "sesame Street Live-Elmo's Coloring Book". We had a feast at the River Club (some swanky country club sorta thing). The spread was amazing-they even had corn dogs! But....no actual corn. The absence of corn seriously saddened me. I got all of the traditional food loaded on my plate and there was an empty space. After going around all 7 of the buffet tables again I realized the missing item was indeed corn. Didn't the pilgrims and indians start out with some maze? Whatev.

Next we all went and saw RENT. I set my expectations pretty low for it so I was pleased. Jesse L. Martin stole my heart and I was very impressed with Rosario Dawson. I didnt think the cinematography had much to offer...it seemed...flat. I could say more but go see and let me know what you think.

Then I came back to the hotel to await the arrival of my long time friend Jordan Doss. She caqme in around 11:00p.m. I made her a vegetarian feast and then we happily consumed some wine and beer. I have two roomates this week so Jordan and I went and sat in her car for a while so we didnt wake them. We got hassled by the Columbus cops....it was funny. Thank goodness it was funny and not something else.

How was your Thanksgiving? What did you do for the day?

RENT the movie..

anyone seen it yet?

Monopoly...

I am in Ohio. This is the first of winter weather I have had in MONTHS. I got no winter last year and we JUST left the south. So...right now I am actually digging the "chill" that is winter. being so cold it felt like board game day yesterday. Me and my friends Emily and Chereese went and purchased Monopoly yesterday. I WON! Once you get some hotels up on that there Boardwalk and Park PLace...it's just a matter of time.

When is the last time YOU played Monopoly?

What is YOUR favorite board game?

The 2005 American Music Awards

So...as a rule I dont really watch this show anymore. If I do tune in it's to see a specific performance they have advertised. Up until last night on TV it said over and over that my lady Kelly Clarkson was gonna be there. Did she perform? NO. Was she even there...NO. Kelly Clarkson was MIA last night. That made me sad. But Cyndi Lauper performed her new version of "time after time" with sarah McChlachlan...it was perfection. Hillary Duff performed and I wasnt excited about her but one of my friends who is now Mr Black Universe 2005 (Antwaun Steele) , he knew one of the dancers and I had met the guy so it was cool to see him on TV. To add to that...I met the guy for like 2 minutes and developed a major crush-so thats why it was cool to see him. Hillary looked a little strung out.

Lindsay Lohan performed......It hurt my soul.

The Eurythmics had a reunion performance but unfortunatly I had to miss it because my roomies wanted to watch the season finale of "The Real World - Austin". I am sad I had to miss the Eurythmics...love that Annie. But there were some cat fights to be had on MTV.

And then there was Rob Thomas...I was actually moved by his performace. I was shcoked then and I still am today. My eyes got misty when he sang his song, go Rob.

I forgot to mention that Mariah opened the show-she did her high pitch squel and stuff but I sure do miss the ole days with that girl. So...to sum it up, no need to tune into this show unless there are definatly going to be some people on that you wanna see. I will ask again...where was Miss Clarkson?

Step to the 1 and 2...

So when it comes to dancing at clubs or bars I don't do it. Well...didnt do it. I always felt really really ridiculous and knew I looked all a fool. Times they are a changin'. On my tour there is a girl named Chereese Mackey...Miss Mackey is toe up fierce!

"No her first name ain't baby"-It's Chereese-Miss Mackey if your nasty!

She is the small understudy in our show so she understudies all the "small" characters-so that's like 6 different characters. No matter what character she goes on for she nails it-she is AWESOME! Not only is she awesome on stage but off she is a gem. She has gotten me out on the dance floor and got me workin' out some hot moves...I must applaud her. I have had people try and get me to dance before and they have FAILED. At the beginning of the tour I was resistant. But now I just can't say no to her. And now when she walks into the bar I can't stay off the dance floor. I love this girl!

So...who out there shakes their ass when they go out to the club and/or bar? And who out there stays at the bar and becomes best friends with the bartender? I have to say, I work them both out with equal verve.

SAW II and ladies of noise

I love scary movies. I had waited to see SAW II in theatre's until I watched SAW. I did BOTH this week. I just got back from the theatre and all I have to say (and excuse my language ma) This shit is fucked up! If you like scary movies, go see it!

Things at the movies...I personally love loud women at the movies. But only at certain times. At the beginning or end of the movie but not anywhere in the middle. Tonight's movie finished and this woman at the back of the theatre just shouted "Now that's wrong!". That makes me laugh!

When I saw "Titanic" in the theatres before the movie started this one sista was talkin to her sista about how "Oh yeah girl, I tell you she done lost her jesus, girl got to go out and find her some jesus!". Then towards the end of the movie she shouted (as Kate runs with a hatchet to chop off Leo's cuff's from the pipe thingy) "Alright you gone on girl...YOU GO GET YO MAN!"

So please my ladies of noise, keep shoutin' it out at the movies. But seriously, only at the beginning or the end and when I say the end I mean when its over.

RENT the movie...

Comes out next Wednesday-the 23rd. Anyone else excited?

Reba # 1's

Pizza! Pizza!

So being on the road Pizza becomes somewhat of a staple in your diet. I mean, even off the road it is consumed on a regular basis, at least for me. But on the road it's the easiest thing, that and chinese delivery. So me and my friend Emily Conway have been looking for a "Little Ceasars" for the last like 4 states. We always end of up with Pappa Johns or Domino's. Last night we finally found one but the catch was that they didn't deliver. I hunted down a crew member with a car and got him to drive us. get this! One large pepperoni pizza for $5!!! And two orders of bread sticks for $4!!! I went home spending under $10! It was wonderful! And the wait and search for this Litte Ceasars was well worth it. My wallet is happy from this experience and so is my tummy.

My favorite pizza place is actually "Lucky Vito's" in Chicago, but that's just not gonna happen on the road is it?

What's your favorite pizza place?

Movies and T.V.

So I'm staying at my friend Casey Daigle's this week in Louisiana. Last night we decided to rent some movies. I have been wanting to see SAW for a long time and now that SAW 2 is in theatres I really wanted to see part one so I can see part 2 on the big screen. This is some fucked up shit. I love scary movies with a passion and it was awesome to finally be freaked out again. I'm sure all of you know the basic deal here but basically this guy had to saw his leg off to live. But that's not even the freaky part. Rent it and see for yourself.

Then there was SUPER SIZE ME. Now, I should have seen this like what? 2 years ago? I know-it's been out a long time. Finally I have watched the wonder that was Morgan Spurlock's brain child. I understand the point he was trying to prove...really I do. And yeah, I think a lot of it was nasty. See, I've never been a big McDonald's fan as it is, but my opinion hasn't really changed. I guess I felt gross about McD's before and I still do. I just thought the actual facts would make me feel more gross about it. After watching it, I still woke up this morning and wouldn't have thought twice about eating a delicious egg and cheese mcmuffin. But, that's where McD's lies with me. Breakfast every now and then and beyond that...I stick to the salads-with a vinaigrette please. Seriously though-30 days and nothing but that stuff...now THAT makes me ill.

So before we started the movies I was thrown into watching "america's next top model". I had NEVER ever EVER watched an episode of this. Not even for like 5 minutes. I have to say, I was immediately sucked into the drama. That kim girl needs to shut her trap and jayla gots to go, Bre is to cute and I hope she wins, Nik looks funny to me, like funny strange, I'm glad Lisa got cut and that Nicole girl needs to go next, or right after jayla...Seriously. Did I forget anyone? Oh yeah, and why does Tyra start whispering at the end of the show?

PRIME

The story of a therapist with a patient that starts dating her son. The therapist son that is. I expected a lot from this movie....Uma Thurman AND Meryl Streep? I wasn't majorly disappointed. But never laughed like I had hoped, and NEVER had a laugh out loud experience. Which isn't all to difficult for me, I laugh out loud easily in theatre's. Um...Bryan Greenberg, Meryl Streeps son was hot. But not hot in that "damn that boy is fine way" but more like in that "He is so freaking sweet and good and there are no real guys like that" kind of way. Anyway, don't waist your money on it at the theatre. Although, I do have to say I am in Louisiana and it was $4.50 for a matinee!!! I can't remember the last time I paid under $7 for a matinee-Craziness! But still....rent it.

On an up note-the soundtrack looks like it might kick ass. I may have to purchase it.

OH! I also got to see a preview for "The Producers". It looks really good! I'm now excited for it.

Skinny like "the friends"

In the brilliant words of the one and only Margaret Cho-

"I wanna be skinny like the friends...WHY CAN'T I BE SKINNY LIKE THE FRIENDS!?!?!?!"

True that.

Movies of the late 80's

So....In an effort to get away from Madonna. I'm trying here. One of my fav movies from the late eighties was "overboard" starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. My sister and I used to watch this all the time! What was one of your favorites from the late eighties? Ill even settle for early nineties.

"I think...I swallowed....a bug"

I'm going to tell you a secret

This is the last on Madge for a while I swear! Yesterday I got to see her new documentary "I'm going to tell you a secret". It was excellent. I was a huge fan of "truth or dare". Obviously the girl has changed a ton and that was cool to see. Guy Ritchie is freakin' hot. Her daughter is JUST like her and her son is a lil touch of the crazy. It followed her 2004 "re-invention" tour around. The tour looked kick ass. I myself did not get to see it, and there is a sad, very sad, story attached to that. My one disappointment is that through the years Madonna has had her two back up singers Donna and Niki on tour with her. On this tour only Donna was there. I feel like I deserve an explanation as to why Niki wasn't there. But that secret wasn't shared with me. As for the other secret, check it out for yourself when it comes out on DVD.

New Stuff...

So there is a ton of new music coming out from some of our favorite ladies...well....my favorite ladies. This Dolly Parton CD , "those were the days" came out October 11th and is full of covers from back in the day, who would have guessed. A couple of my favorites are "Where have all the flowers gone"and believe it or not "Crimson and Clover". Yes..."Crimson and Clover"...this bitch is crazy aint she?I love it.

Cyndi Lauper has just released "The body acoustic" this week on Nov. 8th. I honestly cant beleive I dont have it yet. She re-recorded a bunch of her songs on here and had some special guest including Ani Difranco, Jeff Beck, Sarah Mclachlan and some others. I think Cyndi is AMAZING! I have seen her in concert twice and it's like no performer I have ever seen. I can't wait to buy this album! I really cant wait to hear the re-make of"Money changes everything". And yes.....she re did "Girls just wanna have fun".....again.

Also-The "Grey's Anatomy" soundtrack that has been out for a couple months. First off-I LOVE THIS SHOW! And second-I LOVE THIS MUSIC! I think the whole soundtrack is great. Everytime I watch the show I hear something I like. I really wish they could release an entire soundtrack and not just selected songs-but that would be like...a huge box set right? anyway-If you like the show and the music you hear every week-buy it, you wont be dissapointed.

Just a rememinder. Reba's "#1's" album will be released Tuesday Nov. 22nd. And the RENT the movie comes out Nov.23rd. exciting month!

Whats in everyone's CD player this week?

Madonna song O the day...

As I informed all of you in a past post a friend and I are counting down the days to the new Madonna album "Confessions on the dance floor" soon to be released Nov. 15th. 4 more days to go! We honor our lady Madge by having a song of the day every day. Today I was certain everyone could enjoy the choice song O the day-"VOGUE". Please, sing it when you feel the need. Think back to 1990 when "Vogue" was released-what was going on in your life? I know you all have a story...please, share. I like to get a sing a long started in line at the bank. Also, with this particular selection please PLEASE feel free to strike a pose at any given moment. Ernie struck a pose for me in this mornings show during the second number "new way to walk". It made my day. You to could make someones day by simply striking a pose- "what are you lookin' at...."

Being on tour...

So....I was on vacation for 10 days. On this time off I had a wonderfully relaxing time at my good friend Lucia's house in Austin, TX. I vegged out, watched TV, slept in, cooked, did laundry-at no charge and had use of a car whenever I wanted. This was all awesome to me! Who could ask for more? The weird part I will now mention is that the minute I checked into my hotel Wednesday night and put that little key card in the door to room 235....I felt at home. I feel "at home" in any given hotel room in the US of A. This troubles me. I also got the best nights sleep I had gotten in 10 days. A hotel is no longer a hotel to me....it's fucking home. Just seems bizarre to me.

My friend Lucia

This is Lucia, she is a wonderful woman who let me stay with her this last week in Austin, TX whileI had the week off. Lucia and I are friends through a mutual friend that past away last year. His name is Joseph Bertucci. He was the father I never had. Joseph meant the world to me. Lucia is the one who called me when Joe was in a coma. We helped eachother through that hard time-which is still a struggle at times. She is a brilliant woman and a great friend. I can see what Joe saw in her. We both miss him terribly and take comfort in eachothers friendship and the memories we have of our dear close friend Joseph Paul Bertucci. She was his closest friend in the world.I feel fortunate to have her in my life. So to everyone-meet Lucia Conflenti,my good friend. And sitting on her lap if you look closely is her damn dog Cinnamon.I dubbed her "cinna-shit"on my last visit. On this visit she bit my hand....really...REALLY hard. I guess I cant blame her. Lucia was holding her whileI painted her nails candy apple red...whatever, she loved it.

Car wrecks...

Okay so it wasnt as bad as the picture to your left but I have recently caused some damage to a car. I am in Austin, TX this week visiting my friend Lucia. She is a wonderful lady who always makes me feel at home on my visits. She even lets me use her car whenever I want. Which is freaking awesome right? Like I said, she is a great lady! Well...while borrowing the car Tuesday morning another car swerved in front of me (basically just cut me off). Um...I kinda overreacted...just a titch, and caused some major damage. When I swerved out of the way of this car that I thought was going to hit me I went up a curb and busted off her hub cabs, busted her tires and bent the shit out of her rims. In that process some other crazy things happened to the front of the car that I cant get into much detail about only because I cant really remember-not good with car stuff here. In any event, the car and myself were towed to the local firestone where mommy footed the bill for the car damages and I will spend my next 5 pay checks paying her back for....it was so NOT pretty. And that was my first FULL day in Austin on my vacation....WELCOME TO AUSTIN! The next day the U.S. postal service raped me of my life savings for my passport. what a world. Can you believe we need a passport to go to Canada now....damn Elmo.

Blue Bell...

Everyone has had some sort of Blue Bell ice cream right? Well, the thing that cracks me up is that up until now I have never noticed these insane covers they have for the snack boxes. This one for example, this little kid is dressed up like an indian (whats that ?) and he has not one, not two, not three but four- count them FOUR popscicles in his hands. Is this suggesting that this child is going to eat all four poscicles all at once...without them melting? I dont get it. there are many boxes like this and anyone pictured in them has several of the chosen snack in their tiny hands be it ice cream sandwich, popscicle, push up, or whatever tasty treat you can think of. This is crazy. One at a time or at least share!

My T. R.

So...many of you have asked me. Dustin how do you stay single on the road? dont you get lonely? dont you need to get some now and then? Dont you miss having a lover? Blah blah blah. Well, I guess I can tell everyone now. This is my boyfriend T. R. Knight. You may recognize him from ABC's hit sunday night Tv show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. George O'malley. This is why we work so well together, I am off touring the country making kids happy and he is busy not only being an actor but an amazing doctor whose surgical career is soaring. We make it work through the phone mostly but he flies out to see me when he can. And i get to see him every sunday night on TV. So no worries friends-i have a guy, i am all set. I also take comfort in the fact that if i ever have a hole in my heart he can plug it up with his finger. Not to mention the surgical work he can do in an elevator-you should see what else he can do in an elevator! Love this man!

The Amityville Horror

Have you seen either of the movies? Well, I have seen both the original and the remake of this movie. Before I saw either I read the book a very long time ago. So recently, i read it again. I had completly forgotten how freaking scary the book is compared to movie #1 or movie #2. This shit is scary! They dont cover half of it in the movies that were made. It's so weird because when you read about stuff like this you sort of have that fear of "this could happen to me at any given moment". And it's true! It could! I guess thats what makes it so scary. It's a good read. Everything documented in the book is based on fact unlike the hollywoodized movie versions. I lent it to my friend Emily on tour and she is almost done with it like 2 days later-she's is kinda freaked out too. It's cool. Read it if you have some time.

By the way-the remake of the movie was actually way better than the original.

Rebecca Shubart and me...

So this year for halloween i decided to dress up as none other than the fabulous Rebecca Shubart. Now for those of you that do not know Miss Shubart I know you are saying "Who is this lady?". This woman is my performance director for "Elmo's coloring book". She is kinda fierce. Others of you might be saying now, "what is a performance director?". they are a combination of the stage manager, director, choreographer and dance captain. She is also in charge of every single publicity assignment in EVERY city we go to. Rebecca is really wonderful at her job and i feel very lucky to have a performance director that can work it out the way she does. She balances everything with equal verve and i respect her like no other. So i decided to be her. I also threw the halloween party along with my company manager Morgan Dentch (you will see her pictured below-she is the can can girl in the green dress). Morgan and I threw a hell of a bash. there was a talent context, costume contest and even a pumpkin carving contest. And the prtizes were awesome! Me and two other girls put together a talent and took first place-just to mention that. The other two were dressed as our other two bosses and we did a little somethin to the tune of "9 to 5". So, Rebecca is dressed up for halloween in these pictures but if you saw me in my costume next to her at work I had it going on as Rebecca. Even she would agree. take a look at the pictures below and these of rebecca and myself-that was my halloween this year! Tell me please....what were you for halloween and what did you do? Hope everyone is well!
